Our story began in the late 1980s with a creative community formed around the Dnipropetrovsk State University KVN team. In 1994, the DSU KVN Theater appeared, combining original drama, intellectual humor, experimentation, and a lively dialogue with the audience.

In 2023, the theater underwent "deKVNization" - we abandoned the abbreviation "KVN" in the name as a Soviet vestige. This was not a break with our own past, but a rethinking of our identity in modern Ukraine.
Today, the DSU Theater works at the intersection of different genres and theatrical practices. The characters of the performances come from biblical times, the last century, or today's news, but all these stories somehow lead to the Dnipro.
The DSU Theater is more than a stage. It is a cultural brand of Dnipro, combining tradition, contemporary art, and a proactive creative community.
